In order to future-proof its logistics centre in Cappella Cantone, the company from the agricultural sector opted for a customised automation solution from Jungheinrich. The result: a state-of-the-art warehouse in which processes have been accelerated, capacities optimised and efficiency maximised.

- ‘Hyperstock’ project started in 2020 and revolutionised the facility thanks to automated warehouse hardware and software
- Use of three Jungheinrich Mobile Robots EKS 215a for transporting goods between production and dispatch
- Two high-rack stacker EKX 516 with warehouse navigation system and further 30 manual forklift trucks
- New ERE pallet trucks with weight compensation for safe and ergonomic handling of loads up to 30 kg
- Jungheinrich WMS that maps locations and processes, tracks and controls warehouse and picking processes and communicates with the fleet manager for vehicle navigation
Benefits
- Increase in handling volume from 3.6 to 6.3 million kg per week, an increase of 75%
- Capacity doubled from 6,000 to 12,240 pallets thanks to new warehouse structure
